South America
South America is one of these places that is on a lot of peoples bucket lists, but many people haven’t visited. And it is understandable why so many people do want to visit. The continent has the mighty Andes running down one side, creating breath taking landscapes, and the other side is taken up with the indomitable Amazon Rain Forest, home to the largest number of insects, and an enormous amount of wildlife.
The largest country in South America is Brazil, home of the famous Copacabana Beach and the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, this country is also a well respected by football fans the world over. Argentina is another stunning location, with its sunny squares, and grand architecture in the north, to its wild ice and fire in the Patagonian South, Bolivia with its capital city being the highest city in the world holds many things to visit, as does the whole of this amazing continent.
There is so much history to be found here too, from the temple at Macchu Picchu, to the ruins of many ancient civilizations such as the Mayans, the Aztecs and the Incas to name a few, and so much of their influence can still be seen as you look around and some of the larger sites can be visited.
