It might take a long time to get to, (perhaps worth stopping off for 3 days somewhere on route?) but we promise Australia is worth the travelling! It has so many photogenic Instagram worthy places to visit such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, Uluru, The Great Barrier Reef, Erinsborough(!) but there is so much to do here, particularly for the epicurists now that Australian food and wine is making such a big impact in the market. Melbourne and the South are where the main wine growing regions are and worth a visit, or take the Great Ocean Road up the East Coast. We highly recommend Cairns or the Whitsundays, for the hot tropical climate, or if it’s culture you are looking for, you need Alice Springs to visit Uluru. Perth on the West Coast provides some dramatic scenery, and some great surfing, or if you’re looking for a quieter break what about Tasmania or New Zealand? NZ or the Land of the Long White Cloud is more temperate than Australia, but with as much history and culture which can be seen everywhere you go. Being isolated for 80 million years, it is incredibly bio diverse with distinctive flora and fauna.
We cannot overlook the many many beautiful islands of Oceania, being made up of Micronesia, Melanesia, and Polynesia, which are all stunning places to visit. Fiji is a firm favourite, with its beaches and culture, but if you are looking for that extra bit of luxury, maybe you might consider Bora-Bora or even Tahiti, with the resorts being second to none, and the last word in luxury amidst what is quite literally paradise on earth. There are many more, such as the Cook Islands, or the Solomon Islands to name but a couple, but wherever it is, we can book it!
